In the latest installation from theĀ  SPARK blogtour, high school senior Cully Schultz blogs from Our Bodies, Ourselves on the (mis)representation of of girls and women on TV. Cully writes about the damaging effects of the media’s narrow definition of the “perfect woman,” and the need for more accurate representations of women and girls as whole people in all their diversity.

Cully uses the example of Glee to show the potential for positive messages about diversity in race, religion, and size on TV. Given our blog yesterday on the hypersexualized Glee photoshoot in GQ, what do you think — to Glee or not to Glee?
